First off, we've lost the OP so don't worry about that. It's how some educational threads get started around here,, and that's all I'm trying to do. Investigating different drivers is important to us and there is way to many unsupported Myths surrounding drivers.
I love it when people only quote half of what you say.
"
So everything I tried shows there is no conflict with using Asio4all alongside (at least) my Focusrite ASIO drivers. I think there where issues in the past but somehow I think asio4all is now improved and we need to re look at it in a different way. " The part you quoted was supporting sentence. I for one used to always warn people against asio4all as most of us here warn that it is "known" to interfere with your real ASIO drivers.. I thought I would test this "fact" and in the case of Focusrite drivers this "fact" was proven untrue. So the second sentence is saying I don't think asio4all will interfere with ALL asio drivers in it's latest incarnation. It's not as scary as most believe.
I also carried on to say while it is the best driver mode for on board sound it sucks as a replacement for your audio interface drivers. Oh, I paid $50 for Home Studio and I'm using Asio4all with that system on a laptop day in day out without issues.
