just my humble honest feedback, meant in a good way.

thought the price was a bit high for these plugins.

anyway, still hope it does well for Cakewalk !
Cheers and thanks for all the great Sonar software so far.

I second the post where these plugins mute midi notes, I haven't tried this version but that is why I uninstalled them before.  I don't need to fix this problem though because I have my choice tools anyway.

To those complaining about dropped MIDI notes... an audio plugin such as this should in no way alter your MIDI.

What is likely happening is, because Linear Phase EQ's and whatnot are "resource hungry" by inserting it you are pushing your system too hard and thus your MIDI buffers are no longer in the "sweet" zone.

These plugs are more for mastering/final mix usage where you'd increase your buffers and even Freeze/bounce any softsynths. Using it on tracks like you would other EQ's/compressors (especially multiple instances and at low latency "tracking" level buffer settings) will likely lead to all sorts of quirky behavior from the host.

IIRC there may even be some "lookahead" action happening which absolutely will cause issues at low latency/under powered systems.

Check it out.

Cheers.

Logic X I think. Those plugins are also available for Mac.

Yes they are available for Mac ...
I just downloaded them on to my oldest Mac that happens to be running Snow Leopard  ...
My OS is not supported ..I'm OK w it ..
The good news is it looks like these plugs are supported from OSX 7.5 on up ... that means I can use them on my i Mac ...

Oh well , apparently I spoke too soon for my i Mac...
I downloaded the LP-EQ , the LP-MB , the CA-2A and Rapture Session w all my 3rd party Rapture sound libraries  from my Cakewalk account ...
The min spec on all of these products were said to be OSX 10.7.5 so I thought I was OK ...
My OS is OSX 10.7.5
After  doing  a manual install with all the installers everything appeared to be OK ...that's what the installers said since they had listed my installations as successful for each stage of the process ...

I go to run a scan in Logic Pro 9 and they did not pass the scans or show up as functional...They did show up
The same was true for Abelton Live 9, GB , and Reaper.
So I go OK , lets see if the Cakewalk command center will have better luck ...
The CCC said the absolute min spec was OSX10.7.5 , yet a higher up OS would be better ...I decide to roll the dice .
I down load that and install the CCC. Everything seemed fine , I was able to log in and see the same exact Cakewalk products I had previously downloaded as needing to be installed ...They were Red in the CCC...
I run the CCC and repeat all my installs . Once again the product installers say the installs were successfully done yet everything is still showing up in the CCC as red ( needing to be updated / installed )
Ran some scans with a couple of DAW's on this machine ..same deal ...no love to be had as far as them being installed correctly and passing ...
Before I try to rescue the 6 + Gigs of space I lost on my HD
( most of that was from Rapture Session + 3 rd Party sounds ) I would like to know if I'm just to low spec to be doing this on my computer or am I doing something wrong .....

anyone ?

Pricing is actually very competitive to other options on the market.

I challenge you to find something by a major company with a similar feature set for less.

And finding ones without absurd limitations (ilok, very limited authorizations) will be even more challenging.

what's up with the smaller devs? (i.e., not a major company)

Yup...   The first thing to try is setting it to Non-Linear mode from the Expert Mode pop-up (lower left).  That's the same functionality from the prior version.

Just in case nobody noticed, there is an additional preset folder named "Mixing" in the new version, with "Non Linear" already selected for all presets by default in the "Expert" menu.

I was also able to overwrite the Default preset with "Non Linear", so the plugin inserts more smoothly now, using this default.  In any case, once you save the project, it recalls your settings.
