Just appreciating the changes... Getting better all the time. I'm having no trouble selecting viewed tracks now and the synth-open icon is a nice touch. Handy having the audio tracks removed by default. It might be convenient to add a button next to the Auto Lock (Still don't remember what that does) for fast access...?

Does anyone have a handle on the new controller Transform tool? I don't understand what it does...

Thanks!

Hi. I like the new PRV as well.
As far as I can tell, the Transform Tool (TT) does what it says.
Right click and drag to select the CC you want to edit, and fit the TT to that selection (I don't get it to select automatically (yet, as I hope that will be fixed)). Drag whichever side / end / corner, and it will "transform" your CC accordingly.
Hope it helps.
All the best.

The new Transform Tool - where is it? I can't find it anywhere.

The new Transform Tool is in the PRV under the Key/Pitch pane (bottom left).

To see the transform button, The following conditions must be met

At this time, You need to be running Sonar 2013.4 Early Release
The Key/Pitch pane needs to be wide enough to accommodate the width of the button (This may change on the public release)
The Controller pane needs to be visible.

Hints for using the transform tool:

Remember: Left click on the nodes to adjust the controller events within the transform window.  Right click on the nodes to adjust the size and position of the transform window without affecting the controller events therein.

Right click on the word "transform" brings up a menu.

On this menu, selecting "Auto-Focus" will cause the transform box to assume the dimensions of the selected controller events (if any). Selecting Auto-Focus". If none are selected , then the box assumes the default dimensions.

Hope that helps.

Yeah good job!
but We still hear not the velocity of the midi note that is modified. It's boring!
Please Mr Cakewalk, added this possibility when changing the velocity note, we want to hear the result.

Yes, that would be cool.

Thanks, now I got it. I should have the keyboard pane widened, otherwise TT is hidden.

Thanks for all the tips Everybody...

I'm starting to get a picture...

I had already played with it a bit, but didn't immediately notice exactly what the Transform is actually doing.

Now I'm starting to think it's a kind of "fit to" tool? I guess more playing with it will eventually help me understand what is really going on.........?

...now back to the song, already in progress!

Finally, we have the ability to draw curved CC shapes in PRV. The feature I've been waiting for for many many years...
Having said that, why not to simply switch between linear and parabolic draw? Like this:

The envelope drawing tool already has such options, but PRV controller draw tool does not.
