So I've decided that I want to give up my studio fancy. -sighs sadly-

What I mean by this I'm looking to sell my equipment since I'm really not getting anywhere with it. I have an Audio Technical at2020xlr and scarlet 2i2 interface. After the last post I made about a certain effect...I realized I'm jwants to really he'll aot cut out for this while everyone around me has it so easy. Noone wants to really help anymore and just expect you'll get something. I'm an amateur at this and I catch on pretty quickly to things, but I ask for a simple question and get the most complex answer. "How do I do a stutter effect?"

"OH well first you have to use 5 compressors and eq. Then you have to use a synth and vocoder along with melodyne."

Geez I asked a simple question man

How can I do this? Is what i asked....But then I get a darn essay about compressors melodyne eq vocoders and synths? If you don't want to help then why offer? Because the person who did this effect...DID NOT HAVE TO DO ALL THAT. I'M. CERTAIN

If I can't even do effects like these...then why should I be even keep going? This person is an amateur and they managed but I get essays as answers? Seriously...

Have you heard of a plug in called GLITCH?

Check here:  http://freevstplugins.blo...010/11/glitch-vst.html

Glitch 1 is a free plug in. I never used it very much but it did a number of effects that are used in hip hop music.... check it out.  Nothing fancy or complicated.... you insert it and it does the effect you select from the several it does.

Check out the video to see if that's what you're looking for.

Essentially, this is a hobby that requires YOU to learn and explore on your own. People can help, some others will simply confuse you with their advice.   If you don't understand something, ask.... but realize that the people answering may not understand the issue themselves and offer advice that is worthless.

If you have a good studio and enjoy the hobby...stick with it and learn how to do things.

Good luck.

Get a groove3 subscription and watch all the Sonar videos.. The more you put in the more you get out if it. Whilst these forums are good they are no substitute for the learning material out there. Go out of your way to understand the tools, patience is a virtue.
