Track 1 from the FreeEarCandy 2017 Collection. A hot love song with some sexy sax and vocal harmonies. Seems I didn't share this here in 2017. This was recorded around the same time last year and then later buffed up.

Very nice, I like the way the drums respond to the guitar arpeggios. I hear a dead note on the guitar at 1:40. As usual, I thought it was an instrumental until 2 mins in.

Another nice track, mix works well, ditto on the dead note as observed by James, thanks for sharing.

Thanks James! Glad you liked the tune. Kinda sounds like a dead note, but it is likely a muted strike. In either case, whats the difference? I guess you were expecting an open hit right there.

Thank you Wookiee!

Really nice guitar work, especially the melodic bits here and there, for example around 0:40.
I think I'd add some reverb on the sax to fill out the sound some more.
I always like listening to your music.

A cool song - I enjoyed it.  The sax fits well in the song, and the drum track is just right.

I'm with Bjorn - the sax is nice but could use a bit more reverb.

I like the laid back simple groove, the guitar arpeggiation work, and the open mix. Nice one!

Thanks bjorn! Very happy you like the tunes. I'm very grateful I can create them and share them here. I'm also grateful for any suggestions that can make them better. I easily become what I'll call "sound drunk", and its always good to have some sober ears. I'll remember your suggestion about the sax when I return to the project, and I'll certainly play around with the reverb to see if I can fill out the sound more. Thanks again!

Thank you Doug! When I was putting this track together, and I first introduced the sax into the project, I was sold immediately. The pace of the song just opened up all the right opportunities for the instrument to become moody and I love when that happens. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Hello Walt and thank you! Yes, I also think Bjorn has given some good advice. It is a steady as she goes groove with some mild twists and turns towards a climax. I definitely like playing guitar arpeggiation, but they often sound monotonous when trapped in a groove. So, its a bit of a challenge to find creative ways to divert attention from it or mask it. If you say it worked then I'll take that as a indication I succeeded to that end. Thanks again Walt. I appreciate the feed back.
