First, you might want to check out the story behind them, as it gives you a good idea of what to expect.

Here's the link for the landing page, which has specs and a demo video. The total package is around 4 GB.

Hey thanks for this one, I downloaded both the bass and the guitar. Very good, actually I think it might be a little bit better than SI bass. And the guitar VST is also impressive. Not that I have use for it but , you never know it might have a creative use.

Nice one, but not very usable. Some notes are out of tune.

Thanks for the heads up, how did you determine that? Ear or a tuner app?
I'll have to check but it seems odd they would go to all that work and not tune the bass :)

Wow, that's not a great advert for something that's meant to assure you to go ahead a buy the full versions.

I ummed and ahhed for ages 2 years ago, where to invest in a decent bass sample player with Amplesounds the firm favourites. I started researching playing techniques so that I would be able to prgramm it convincingly, then decided to just get a real bass instead. I now have both an Acoustic Bass Guitar and Jazz (squire). So glad I did. Still tempted by their upright, but with nylon tapewounds on the acoustic and some process, I think it can perform a very similar role

Soundwise flagged some out-of-tune notes in the original EB5 pack for Rapture...very helpful. This caused me to check into why and I found some software tuners are accurate with guitar but not with bass. Also, the pitch of a bass string varies over time, so you have to decide whether you want to tune for the initlal pitch, or the pitch it "settles down" into.

I've since gotten into using Melodyne to fine-tune notes, and also, sometimes use the pitch modulation tool to reduce pitch inconsistencies over the course of the sustain. Because the pitch fixes are so small, there are no audible artifacts.

Notice, how some RR notes are tuned differently.
