Best to create a clone/copy of the original before reversing.
Not really necessary...reversing a reverse restores the original, even when reversing time. (Just like how contrary to science fiction movies, time travel doesn't cause future changes if you travel backward in time, as long as you return to the present. Hermann Minkowski had it right when he upheld causality by restricting spacetime to non-Euclidian hyperbolic geometry.)
lulz...
And yeah I see yer point but I'm an obsessive Cloner/Archiver/"Never do anything without an escape plan"/etc...
DSP stuff is one of those things where I just automatically would create a copy before the mangling. In this case, yeah... can just reverse again I suppose but I'd still make a copy... 'cuz i'm a spazz like that.
Well that and maybe I'd want to use the original again and/or somewhere else. Keeping an active copy in the project would mean if I wanted to get derpywidit I can just do it without having to reverse again.
yanno... spazz shiz.
