Greetings!
Sometimes, after recording a guitar track I need to play that part again but mute the current record.
Mute button completely mutes the track while I would like to mute only the recorded sound but not the guitar itself.

How to do that in Sonar?
Thank you!

I usually mute the clip when I need to do this. Select the clip (or clips if more than one), hit k.

Another way to do it is to clone the track without the events,  but this can end up putting quite a strain on the system if you've got lots of plugins going.

I mute the full track and hear the guitar or voice through the (analog) outboard mixer. So I have also 0 latency hearing the guitar or voice during recording.

Or else - open up the "take lanes" and mute them.
Then the track itself isn't muted.

That's why the Bakers invented the take lanes and the comping recording system...
