It's really easy with Audiosnap - plit at the transient markers. Audiosnap usually finds it very easy to place transients at the beginnings of words, but it's simple enough to adjust the transient markers for the "outliers." Then just drag the clips to your VSTi of choice.

Thanks guys, yea stutter edit would be amazing but I just haven't had the time to learn it. Been sitting in my plugin list for awhile finding no use as I usually manually do stutters myself through copy/pasting etc...

it just looked so easy on other DAWs when they just highlighted the part they wanna split or whatever then paints it in Midi and they can just change Midi notes for the pattern they want. Just hadn't found any videos or anything about it for Sonar.

Didn't see this message before I wrote my previous reply. Thank you, I was actually thinking of the audio snap feature and hadn't got around to experimenting with it. I'll give it a shot.

Melodyne is an amazing PI. Do you have it?

yes sir i do, i use pretty regularly to convert audio into MIDI notes to use with Vocoders, i had considered using it to generate midi notes for the Vocal scatter iv been talking about.

Im having trouble applying them to VSTis. Iv tried session drummer but can only drag 1 clip to the drum, cant put any more clips in the bank or it creates a screaming sound then crashes when trying to play. Is there a VSTi in Sonar that you can just drag the split clips to.

Iv managed to make it work on Session Drummer 3. It seems it was crashign when the sample size i attempted to drag to it was to short in length. After taking away the Fade in/outs on the end of the clips and stretching them out a bit and just dragging the split clips onto each drum they assigned just fine and produced just fine through the piano roll. Thank you everyone for the help and ideas.
