Currently I have Guitar Tracks Pro 3. I love it. In fact, I recorded my entire instrumental cd with it.

I want to start using EZdrummer, so I'm wondering if it works in Guitar Tracks Pro 4. Version 3 doesn't have the midi editor, but as far as I can tell version 4 has it. So if I upgrade to version 4, will that work with EZdrummer? Anyone using them together? I want to be able to completely program the drums for my songs. Thanks everyone.

Go to the ToonTrack website and look at the compatibility chart for EZdrummer.I'm pretty sure GTP4 isn't supported.

Welcome to the forum, fullmetalguitar.
Yes, GTP4 does support VST instruments, such as EZ Drummer.
And while GTP4 is a decent program, I might suggest looking at X1 Essentials.
The screen format for GTP4 was shared by Home Studio7 and Music Creator5.
It was abandoned after one generation for the other products.
You can download X1 Essentials. As a registered customer, it would be $79 for you.
The GTP4 upgrade would be $59, and it has to be shipped.
Either way, you gain quite a bit over GTP3, but I think X1 Essentials offers a lot more bang for your buck.

Thanks for the info. I can get the GTP4 upgrade for $49 from musiciansfriend, guitar center, etc. Still weighing my options. Thanks again.

Another question: When you upgrade to GTP4, does it completely uninstall Version 3? Will I have to do a complete setup like I did when I installed 3? Sorry if that's a dumb question.

It's not a dumb question at all.
The upgrade just gives you leverage on pricing. It has no effect whatsoever on versions you may already have.
Actually, it is recommended that you leave your older versions installed.
Any plug-ins you already have will be available to the new version, and some plug-ins may not be included with the new version.
Each version exists as a separate entity on your system.
While I heartily endorse X1, GTP4 is a heck of a deal at $49.
Either way, you win. And once you open up access to VSTi's, you have a whole new world of sound at your fingertips.
