Hi,
It would be so nice if the right-click menu of FX bin -> Insert Audio FX.. had a textbox where you could search/filter out the plugins (textbox automatically focused). When you have hundreds of plugins, it becomes a "speed-bump" that you need to manually find plugins each time....

I know you can search in the plugin browser, but that still clicks away if you want to do that...and you need to shift your focus to the plugin browser.

or "Cortana fix guitar masking bass" ?
 
sorry, ... couldn't resist ;-) but like your idea, though, so I gave it my vote ... however, this text search box should be assignable to key binding so you can quickly hit a key on the keyboard, type the first 3 letters of the FX name and hit enter to have the FX inserted in the current track with GUI open ...
