I love the song and the structure.  Listening on Bose Companion 5 speakers. IMHO, I think the mix needs some work. The vocals are very thin and non present in the mix. The reverb is further taking away from the clarity of the vocal. The rest of the mix is also thin and harsh to my ears also and could use some warmth applied to it.

Thanks Scotty, I will give it another try on the mix, I'm not a mix master or nothing like that. After a while of listening to things for me at this time it all sounds the same to me.
 
But then again I'm not a professional by no means. 
 
I'll see if I can figure out what your talking about with the mix, if you have any suggestions I am wide open to them. 
I am now using Sonar Platinum, so if you have any recommendations on any settings with Breverb or anything like that, or Reverb in general, I'm just working with my ears and turning some knobs on the settings. Dry/Wet etc....
 
By thin do you mean, Low end sounds being cut out for clarity, or medium?  Just wondering,

What a downright pleasant song.  It has a lot to offer:  uplifting lyrics, memorable melody, and instrumentation that complements it all.  The only suggestion that I could offer is maybe some harmony in the choruses.

Thank you Freedy J, this is the first time I ever mixed somebody else adding vocals, so I still have a lot to learn. There are actually some choruses there, but I guess I didn't have the volume levels loud enough. 
I'm going to try and remix this one here in a few days based on everyones advice.
Some people like more reverb, some like less, some like louder things while others don't. I'm no mixmaster and new to Sonar Platinum and all the goodies it offers, some things I have no idea about and am going to have to try and am still figuring things out. I'm not a song mixer, I just do this for myself and the music I like to make up. 
 
Thank you for the kind comments on the song, that means a lot, that was my thought when I wrote the song. I like to create songs with a more positive tone to them. 
 
Thanks again for taking the time to listen and comment, and also, I just noticed I typed your name wrong in my reply to you in one of your recent songs you shared, I am fixing this now, sorry, no disrespect meant at all. Everything sounds great to me. Daryl's voice is the perfect compliment to the lyrics! What a sound!

By "thin", I mean cut out some highs from 2k on up. The vocals seem to be too wet.

I enjoyed the song - it has a good hook.  I thought the drums sound fine, so good job there. I really liked the rhythm guitar - sounded nice to my ears.  Nice job on lead vox - sounded like a phaser or chorus was on it.  Overall a well constructed song.
