The song's not bad, but the mix has got a kind of skinny 4-track cassette sound to it--like all the glorious lower mids have been sucked out. Not sure if you're going for a certain sound there or what. Again, the song is fine. I just don't care for the mix.

Thank you for taking the time to listen and reply.

I'm not a master producer and have been trying to figure several things out. When I posted this I was to the point when mixing things with my hearing where everything all sounded the same. So I took a break. I'm hoping to remix this one with a better mix sometime soon to see if I can do a better job on it. I'm going to leave the version that's on SC there either way.

Thank you for taking the time and the input you give me on the mix. It's something I'm going to keep in mind for sure!

Happy Holidays!

clap, clap clap.  Really nice.  I like Daryl's voice, it has an insouciance that's hard to describe.  But my question is:  Where's the British accent??!

the kit and guitars seem in front of the vox....maybe a little push on the vox w/a tad less verb....otherwise a very cool tune and good job. Love the vox tone and melody line.

Thanks man, I really like Daryl's voice also. He's gifted with his vocals and I am blessed to have him sing on anything I record. Not to mention, he's a really nice person also.

As for the British accent, why isn't it there?

It is because of my words on the song, they are scripted to be pronounced a certain way and that's why there is no accent that has that British accent, I guess, Not sure honestly.

LOL : Daryl's not no traitor to the kingdom or nothing like that, he just sang it like it was meant to be heard and what you hear is what you hear.

Think of bands like Def Leppard and such other bands who don't sound British at all when they sing English songs, how words are pronounced sometimes make a big difference in how the song goes, sometimes people twist words to sound one way or another while other times they pronounce them properly. Is that a good thing or bad thing to do so either way? I have no idea, if it sounds good then it's good, if it doesn't then it is not and that's what my guitar teacher told me when asking questions about music and that's about all I can say about that.
