Hi there! This is my first post here. I've got a problem with my new Focusrite. Ask your help, this interface is pretty popular here
I am the one-man band (I have guitar and vocal track, bass and drums mixed tracks for live shows) and I need to send all these tracks from Sonar to inteface outputs: 1st and 2nd outputs - for monitoring (through headphones), 3rd - guitar, 4th - vocals, 5th - bass, 6th and 7th - drums.
So, the problem is
Unable to open audio playback device. Device may not support the current project's audio format or may be in use.
What should I do in Sonar and Scarlett Mix Control to solve this and make correct routing? Please help me.

All outputs go to mixer, and sound technicians of clubs where I will play can regulate different parameters how the want. This is very convenient.
So, about the interface. I forgot to say, that when I plugged interface to computer, there was massage about firmware update. Honestly, I didn't read it, I just clicked OK. Inputs work great, I can hear all through phones, so I think update installed correctly and without crashes.
Today deleted MixControl and drivers, installed them again, restarted system, connected the interface. Am I right? And the same situation. First

I clicked "Use anyway" few times and this window disappeared. I went to Preferences and saw this

Unable to close this window and after few attempts Sonar crushed.
Can you show me in steps how to set interface and sonar from start. I will be very grateful.
Forgot to say, sonar is 64bit, is it matter?

One thing that can cause messages like this is having the interface set as the default playback device for Windows with a different sample rate than the sample rate you are running in Sonar.  If you go to the advanced tab of the properties for the 18i20 in the Playback Devices tab of the Sound control panel, you will find that Windows has it's own sample rate setting for the device.

Another point worth mentioning in regards to your need to separate outputs to the house system at your gigs, you will probably want to use the 'Mixer' routing preset in MixControl as this will adjust the routing to be suited to your type of setup.

If you continue to have trouble with the error messages in Sonar, please contact Focusrite Support here:

I do not have a Focusrite, but anyway, it looks as if ASIO is reporting what latency you have. But in Sonar did you run the wave profiler and switch over to the Windows OS drivers that are WDM/KS drivers and then run the Wave Profiler for your sound device?

But anyone who has a focusrite can supply an answer to your problem also, which probably will be better.

But then after that you can switch back to using ASIO drivers or the  Windows drivers if you want to.
And it might help to make sure that you have Windows set to the same device as the default in Windows also. Like with mine, I have Analog 1 & 2 in set as the default in Windows for Input in the Windows Mixer (speaker icon on taskbar), and Analog 3 & 4 set to the output or the headphone icon in Windows and not the speaker graphic icon because for Ouput that is what I use and my software for my unit also runs the output to the analog 1 & 2 also to well use speakers also for my unit, but to Windows all it knows is that the default is the headphones output, otherwise it may mark anything (like my ADAT) as an output if you do not check Windows.

I have had that message a couple of times, forget what I did now, but if I really remember, I will post it.
I did get it to go away though and all works fine now.

ASIO is the preferred driver type to use.

I am pretty sure that my unit did not default to ASIO drivers unless Sonar was changed to those.
And usually we talk about Sonar here on this forum.
