Hey guys,

I often accidentally change volume faders and pan knobs when I pass more than 18 tracks, is there a way that we can lock the volume faders and pan knobs? I tend to just adjust the individual volume faders and knobs on my first hour or two of mixing, after that I normally just do leveling adjustments on sub busses. It would be great if we can lock it like how we lock audio clips.

Thank you,

I believe your best bet in this situation is to right click on your fader / knobs and select "Set to snap".
This way if you do move a fader or knob- you only have to double click that fader/knob to recall your set to snap setting.
There is also Mix recall but that's up to you.

There is no lock feature. it has been brought up a few times and it might be a nice addition in the future.
hope this helps.

Hi. Not sure what you mean.
If you mean make a fader (or pan wheel) snap back to your set level...
You can set any fader (or knob wheel) level as a default to double click to.
Right click on the fader, Value, and choose snap to current.
Hope it helps.
All the best.

The set to snap seems to be the best way for now. But it would be really helpful feature if we can lock the faders and knobs from being accidentally moved. Thanks man.

Yeah I think that's the best option for now since we can't just lock the faders and knobs from moving once set correctly. Thanks man.

I agree there should be a way to prevent accidents.  In addition to the idea of a straight up lock, an *option* to req a modifier key + click-drag would be cool too.  Or have modifier + click-drag able to bypass locks.  This would minimize the number of steps to make changes.

Not sure but does drawing volume automation override the fader? I recall trying to move a fader and it would snap back in place because I had automation. Just wondering. Thanks

Another option, although a little clunky - and I assume that here we're talking about a static fader position is to insert a flat volume envelope on each track

Hmmm... brings up an interesting point. Would a locked fader still respond to automation "under the hood," or ignore it?

Don't forget you can recall only specific tracks or parameters from Mix Recall. So if you messed up the fader positions for tracks 11 and 18, you could recall the mix for only those tracks.

You can also hide tracks to guarantee they won't be adjusted.
