Has anyone successfully obtained output to a MIDI port from SONAR Home Studio version 22.11.0 build 66 running in Windows 10?

I can't get SONAR to do something very simple: play a MIDI file and send MIDI messages to an external hardware synth connected to a USB MIDI output port. I connected an external hardware synth to output port "E-MU XMidi 1X1 Tab" and selected that port as the MIDI Output in Preferences\MIDI\Devices dialog box in SONAR. However, notes are not played on the external synth when I play a test MIDI file, consisting of a few notes, in SONAR. However, other MIDI software, including Anvil Studio and an old version of Cakewalk Express, running in Windows 10 on my computer, play the MIDI file and output MIDI messages to the external synth with no problem.

Check the individual Midi tracks and make sure they are set to the same output and that they are sending on the same midi channel as the synth is set to receive.

The synth is set to receive input on MIDI channel 1, but I could find no way to set the channel of the track in SONAR Home Studio. I was able to capture and display the MIDI output from SONAR in MIDI-OX, and below is a link to a screen shot of that data. What it shows is a lot of unnecessary Pitch Bend, Modulation, Pedal, and Reset Control messages on all channels, except the Note On and Note Off events which are absolutely necessary. It's just a simple test sequence of four notes with no pitch bends or pedal action at all, and SONAR refuses to output those basic MIDI messages. The synth does play the sequence of notes, on channel 1, when they are played in Anvil Studio or an old version of Cakewalk Express that I installed on my Windows 10 computer. This is a frustrating problem and Cakewalk support has not responded.

Edit: The link to the screen shot, on Google Drive, was BLOCKED.

It has been suggested that I make sure the track is set to output MIDI on the channel the hardware synth is set to play on. I searched all the menus and documentation and could not find a way to set the track to output on MIDI channel 1. How is that done in SONAR Home Studio?

With the help of Support, I got the problem solved. It was necessary to create another track and make it a MIDI track.
