Hi I hope some one can help

I am running MC6 on Windows 7 64 pro with 16gigs ram
I love it and have been getting some great results.
I want to get some more audio FX so decided to down load some free VST plugs ins
I got TAL Reverb2 and Bulecat FX pack (the windows 7 x64 version)

I installed them to the program files (x86) Cakewalk VSTplugins Directory and the TAL reveb2 I droped the dll into the folder too,
I started MC6 and scaned the plugin folder restarted  MC6 and they just dont show up at all I have tryed reinstalling them to program Files/ Steinberg/vstplugins and added that location  in the Preferences/vst settings and scaned again and restated the PC but still they dont come up, I have gone into plugin manger and cant not see them at all, I have reset and rescaned lot of times but nothing shows up .

I am at a loss now have not done something?
Please can any one help
Thanks
Darren

Just FYI - I  know your issue is fixed, but for future readers - Using some of my old school programs I found I had to run my instals in compatibility mode before the VST's would show up.

How do you run instals in compatibility mode?

Right-click the programs icon and select Troubleshoot Compatibility or select the compatibility mode you want to run it with.

Most VST's and FX will install properly but some will install in their own folders in some other location on the computer. ALWAYS take the time to watch where it asks to install itself. You might need to add that folder location to the VST scan manually using the plug in manager, then run the scan.

Then, it should show up.

Glad you figured it out. That's always the way you learn the most.

Be aware too that some of the "FREE" stuff will not run properly. I used to DL lots of free stuff back in the early days...... no more. I have one or two free things I like and still use, but mostly now I avoid the free stuff.
