  • Microsoft getting more aggressive about pushing Windows 10? (p.2)

Indeed MS is getting aggressive, and the complaint that people are finding a big chunk of their disk space has been populated by the Win 10 update files that they have not requested has been answered by making it part of automatic updates for Win 7 and 8. It will not install without your permission, but if you have automatic updates enabled, it will be pushed to you automatically at some point in the future.

Action Center warns me about some Windows Update crap and whaddaya know that W10 upgrade is checked. BTW that's guaranteed way of a bad W10 installation.

I'm starting to find more petty dislikes in Windows 10. I hate the dark taskbar that you can lighten enough to please me. Some shortcuts are dark like Sonar P.  Plus it's tiny and show desktop is really narrow. I adjust my mom's laptop with W8 to look more like 7 and I like it better than things on W10.

Well, I decided to give it a try a month ago but it wouldn't complete and kept rolling back (a nice feature)...lots of folks were encountering this problem.

While I periodically got reminders, I just tried again today as they are pushing out a major update per TWIT's Windows show...  Seems to have fixed the problem many were having completing the transfer.  I'm now on W10 and enjoying it very much.

Wait until 2016, when Windows 10 *will* install itself on your machine and then offer you the option to boot into it at start.  In the vernacular, "takes the piss".

Before installing the "Important" updates to Windows 7 today, I had a look at them. KB3123862 seems like more pressure to upgrade to Windows 10, and some people are not installing it. After reading these articles, I unchecked it.
