Sonar Professional 22.7.0 BUILD 41 [2016.07] x63

I know the control bar can't be customized, but is there any way to show a custom button (like SAVE) without having to click a sub menu?  I want to save quickly with one mouse click somehow.

Is what I have known as X3?

thx

The custom module in the control bar was designed to do exactly this.

Just use your left hand to press Ctrl+S apart from anything else it's the Windows default shortcut for Save.

Thanks but I want to keep my left hand on the midi keyboard, while my right hand is on the mouse.  I don't want to move my left hand to do Ctrl+S

thanks,
I know about the custom module and it does provide a one-click custom button, but when you hover the mouse over the custom module there is a delay for a few seconds, and then the custom buttons appear.  Can the delay be quicker, and avoid having to wait for the custom buttons to appear?

I'm thinking of using a macro program outside of Sonar to do what I want- have a button ready to click, and it will do Ctrl-S when clicked.

I came up with a solution- I'm using PowerPro macro program to create a desktop button that sends keystroke of CTRL+S when I click it.  Works great.  I like the custom module but not the delay using it.

this doesn't sound right? does it behave like that every time, or just the first time?

mikeinFL, I'm guessing the delay you are experiencing is because your custom module is collapsed. On my system, collapsed modules consistently take a bit less than one second to expand, making the individual buttons accessible, so it's not so bad. If you actually measure the delay on your system, is it really a few seconds?

The buttons on normal modules can be clicked immediately. For that reason, I do not collapse my custom module or any other module that I use frequently. Only my infrequently used modules are collapsed. Would that work for you?

SOLVED!   I didn't know the custom module could open and show the buttons!  It was on "auto" and I selected small, medium, or large.  Bingo. Good grief

Looks like it takes 1 second to open a module when mouse hovers it.  But now that the buttons are always displayed, that's what I wanted.  thanks
