Bug is such a bad word.
It is a unintended action from software when executing intended actions.
The fact that when you use the left side of an interface port for inserts and is steals away the right side is just, if you will a "mis-imlementation" of how the ports are handled and probably a "known issue" in house. Chances are this implantation is in very old code. I know this is no excuse but dependencies very likely abound from changing the old code.

Go easy on Cakewalk. Sonar does a lot of things right if not this.

I hear what you are saying.  My main beef is the total lack of communication from Cakewalk.  After they told me 'it must be your hardware' I spent about 8 hours doing tests, bought a USB e-licenser to get the demo Cubase working, called MOTU (from the UK) to get them to make some tests (which they did happily) and the response from Cakewalk?  A few one-line non committal replies.  This is not customer service.

So I'm appealing for help to find a way to actually get to speak to Cakewalk either by phone or chat.  My e-mails have been polite and I'm getting no-where.

Cheers
