Hi :)

Sorry, has nothing to do with Sonar!

I have a CD with aif and asd Files on it. Found no Software who plays them.
Too I found no Converter who does not give an error:(

These must be Ableton Files, but how can I change them to Waves without installing any DEMO from Ableton?

Thanks:)
Bassman.

Hi. You could just import the aif files into a (new) SONAR project. SONAR does not open asd files.
SONAR will automatically convert the aif files to wave.
All the best.

I've tried with the Browser and the Import Function, but:

Error "Not enough Memory"

Doesn't work:(

But thanks:)

Could this be a possibility?

Asd files are useless unless you use Ableton, they hold warp information etc about the audio files with the same name.

The other thread that was linked will hopefully solve your problem with the AIF files.

Copy the aif files from the CD to the drive running SONAR or where SONAR projects are stored before importing. It may be easier to batch convert the files using an audio editor or conversion utility though. Wavosaur is free and supports batch processing.

Yes to what Scook just said, I just checked and Gold Wave which is also free to demo will open just about any audio format and batch convert. I see aif on it's file menu.

@Zarrgg

Thanks for that link, I've tried to make another Directory, but same result!
Then I tried some other "aif" Files and they worked, so I copied some of the non working in that directory, but with no effort.

OK, now I'm trying Batch conversion with the links from "scook" and "Cactus Music"
Here is a link with some files from this CD, perhaps you can try to play them.

Quick Reply:)

Conversion doesn't work!

GoldWave gives an error "Can't load files with more than 8 tracks"
Wavosaur gives just an error without specification.

I installed a Demo of Ableton Live and I can play them correctly. it's so confusing this program, so I don't know how to export them into a wave. I'm on the way to throw them away. A musician brought this CD and he wanted to use some of these Loops. So I'm sure I can find some others similar to them....

Perhaps you can give these Loops a try:)

Thanks,
Bassman.

I downloaded one of the files to check, but it would not play in any program I tried.
Could they be corrupted?
