Agreed 100%..

and tbh, given the alacrity with which mods move threads to twilight zone rooms, i can suggest that a ****in & whining room be made...

Then we can ignore it and focus on helping others and offering good tips :D

A "complaints" sub forum is a good idea actually

User forums everywhere are generally the Complaint / Suggestion boxes. With the occasional thatnk yous from someone who got their prayers answered.

Not gonna change.

This forum is supposed to be about how to get the most out of SONAR. For it to be wonderful, all that's needed is for people to remain true to the mission statement.

No it's not.  It sounds so pussified.  I rarely darkened this forum at one time because the polyanna atmosphere that you want was even worse.  It was fanboyism.  I read a thread where a guy said he was moving on to another DAW because he didn't like the GUI. It was the only negative thing he said.  Talk about getting torched.  I even read a phrase in another forum "he got beat down Sonar style".  Thus was the reputation back then.  There is a difference between trolling and complaining.  DO you expect the staff view people to shut up?

You haven't read enough forums.  Reason ditched theirs, complaints exist on Reasontalk. Live users complain that too many updates are towards Push.  I do believe comments on KVR about Tracktion 7 are moderated. EastWest will ban you.

Complaints are often suggestions.  It's not a rocket science to weed through what you want to read. Most people read through the complaints  in hopes to get satisfaction by helping that other person.

I don't understand what you're trying to say.

I would have thought that this forum already is one of the more positive corners if the internet. A pretty good balance between getting to the root of problems and recognising what is great about what we aready have.

Musicians and programmers are a passionate bunch, be they defending or condemning their production weapon of choice. Inevitably sparks will fly:)

Actually, I think this forum is far more positive overall than it used to be. And I think that's because Cakewalk has been responsive and innovative. To a large degree they've fixed what was broken, and implemented the most requested features.
