Sonar crashed again today, while inserting a NI dynamics plug in.  I wonder what could have happened?!  I sent a fault reporter to cakewalk.

What happens if you insert it into a completely new/blank project?

(just testing the idea that it could be a certain of things)

Which one exactly? Some (not all) of the NI plug-ins rely on the c++ 2013 package. I had issues with that being corrupted. When I fixed it, my NI stuff behaved.

emwhy, you are uncanny!  This is why I can't install gobbler either...my package is corrupted somehow.  I'm redownloaded all of them available but none fix the issue.  This could be it!

For c++ 2013 Click on this link:

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=40784

Click Download, then on the next page select the x86 and x64 bit versions. Once downloaded, run them both and select "Repair" when the option comes up. After they repair, reboot the machine and see what happens. I did the x86 one first but not sure if it matters.

the C++ and Visual lib's are a common factor in a lot of crashes within sonar, mostly due to plug ins.
Good call Em.

Only a good call if it works! :)

But you're right chuckebaby, SONAR would not display the Pro Channel modules properly for me and any time I tried to insert one crash city. For me it was the 2013 package which is also used by NI stuff like Absynth, Guitar Rig etc.

No, I've done all that.  Gobbler wont install....gobbler customer tech help didn't diagnose it.  However I think em is right, it has something to with those c++ libraries.  I'll just use another plugin.  Thanks for all the help!
