I haven't played around with a sequencer in a while. I had an old version of ACID which I got used to but when I saw this on Steam I thought that it looked like a great sequencer/DAW.
 
So far the interface hasn't been too bad, however I'm getting frustrated with the basics. I'm trying to drop samples in on the tracks so that they align edge to edge.. a pretty basic operation... except it's very hit and miss with MC6. Sometimes the samples align, sometimes they just won't.
 
I've tried every setting in the Snap To dialog and not only does it not help, but randomly the Snap To amount changes. I set it to 1/16 and a few minutes later I'm dragging a new sample in and it is trying to snap to 1/2! I open the dialog and lo behold the Snap To is now set to 1/2?!!?
 
I'm probably missing something very obvious, since no sequencer on earth could fail to allow you to snap align two samples......
 
Also, when using Ctrl+C, Ctrl+v Cut and Paste the Sample seems to be randomly dropped into the tracks. Sometimes it appears at the cursor, sometimes in the selected track, sometimes only in Track 1. Once I dragged a Sample from the Audio Library and it appeared about an hour out to the right....

I am kind of intrested in what is going on here cause I have a student that has Music Creator and we were playing on it last night and although we did not have this issue (but we were more focused on just getting midi tracks to record) but the snap settings were a bit frustrating to say the least.
 
Also, Even if I snap to grid turned on and the measure  marking was selected when we clicked on the time line say on measure 2 the time line would only come up to 2:12 and not 2:00....so something is off and I could not figure out how to fix it......
 
so it seems to me that something is a miss with the Snap feature............or ..............I just do not understand how to properly set up Music Creator...
 
So this will be a good discussion..

Sounds like a similar symptom.
 
I hadn't mentioned in my original post that not only are my samples not snapping logically edge to edge but when I set the Snap to say 1/8, after a few minutes it would change to something random like 1/2 or 1/4.
