I just installed MC5 and amplitude X-gear, then I installed the update for MC5 for windows 7, then I registered amplitude X-gear, and when I start MC5 it says amplitude X-gear is missing. I tried running the vst scanner to no avail. amplitude X-gear opens from the start menu but MC5 does not see it.
 
how can I fix this?

Be sure to rescan the plug ins from the plug in manager.
 
also check to see that AXG is in the scan list. If it's not, add it and rescan.
 
Be sure to register AXG with the IK server so it becomes activated. If not, it runs in demo mode.
