I've read numerous threads, asked questions, PM'd some of you as well and just wanted to say thanks for all of the help.

I bought a Motu UltraLite-mk3 a few months ago, but returned it after some trouble.  I was just about ready to use the store-credit for an Audient iD22, but then found a deal on a like-new UCX, and since I had recently sold some pedals it ended up being somewhat of a trade with not much out of pocket.  That credit can go towards something...else:)

The UCX is what I wanted, but at $1599 was just too much.  The desktop units like the iD22 or the Babyface Pro appealed to me as solid mid-level interfaces, but each had something I didn't like including the desktop form-factor, but I could have made due.  Anyway, I got the UCX this afternoon, installed the latest driver and updated the firmware, launched SPlat, no issues.  Let's hope it stays that way.  And now, let the learning commence.

I know I sound like a broken record, but delete your aud.ini file and truly start "fresh".
Oh, and welcome to the RME club!

The UCX is a great unit, and the RME TotalMixFX software is equally great.
I was fretting about the price as well when it first came out, but caved and bought one anyway.
It's been totally rock solid since day one.
