I really liked this tune...pretty straight rock style but done very well. I like the way all your vox works together and can see you guys pulling this off at church!
kk now with my producers hat on, this is what I'd do -
1) nix the cymbal intro....that would be cool live or if the tempo was a faster tempo but as is it takes way more than it brings to the table...I think muting that part and everything dropping in at once will have a much bigger impact.
2) fix the little vocal part at the end of the first line (you know the part)...just cut and paste the bvox (word:Cross) from another section of the tune and drop her in...much neater.
3) Intro guitar. The riff sounds fine but sounds too rigid....your sustained notes (5 or 6 of them in all) just kinda hang out there...I'd slide at least some of them down the neck as opposed to just lingering...especially the last note in the intro...a bit of slide and fluidness will go a long way here. Remember the into is like the first thing a dates sees when you ring the doorbell...your better off jacking up a lead in the middle of a tune then in the intro (not at all saying this is jacked up)...but in my eyes...its just that important and worht making a great opening statement.
Really cool tune...very good job by all!
