Hi Michael
Good, solid mix - very much a live band sound.
Maybe the lead vocal could come up a gnat's whisker

hello, I like this.  It has a Neil Young vibe.  I do agree that the vocals could be turned up a gnats whisker, or a lip.

Some folks might find the Christian overtones limiting, but, and maybe I'm making assumptions, let your freak flag fly.  I mean really, who wouldn't want to chill out with a dude that would lay down their life for you, god or not.

The lead guitar at 2:55 is cool.

Maybe a little more crack on the snare.  The rhythm guitar is definitely very nice.

Ha, thanks guys.  Looks like I need to look around and see where I may have left that gnat's hair.

I appreciate the listen Jesse and Daryl.

I really liked this tune...pretty straight rock style but done very well. I like the way all your vox works together and can see you guys pulling this off at church!

kk now with my producers hat on, this is what I'd do -

1) nix the cymbal intro....that would be cool live or if the tempo was a faster tempo but as is it takes way more than it brings to the table...I think muting that part and everything dropping in at once will have a much bigger impact.

2) fix the little vocal part at the end of the first line (you know the part)...just cut and paste the bvox (word:Cross) from another section of the tune and drop her in...much neater.

3) Intro guitar. The riff sounds fine but sounds too rigid....your sustained notes (5 or 6 of them in all) just kinda hang out there...I'd slide at least some of them down the neck as opposed to just lingering...especially the last note in the intro...a bit of slide and fluidness will go a long way here. Remember the into is like the first thing a dates sees when you ring the doorbell...your better off jacking up a lead in the middle of a tune then in the intro (not at all saying this is jacked up)...but in my eyes...its just that important and worht making a great opening statement.

Really cool tune...very good job by all!

Hey Tom, thanks for listening and commenting.

I have bumped the Lead Vocal just slightly based on the other recommendations.

I'll have to listen more closely for the part you are referencing at the end of the first line.  Nix the cymbals...I may give that a listen.  Reworking the intro lead guitar may take some playing with.  If I come up with something better, I'll post another version.

Hey Tom...I love to hear your take on the song.  It really helps to hear other ideas.

I have tweaked the intro vocals on this one, now and cut the cymbals at the beginning, based on your recommendations.

I hope you guys like the adjustments made based on your comments.

The three of us has been so busy with personal and work lives that we've had little time to work on recordings and mixing and sometimes it's good to have time between listens.

I really enjoyed playing Rhodes on this one and I think our voices are blending well.

let us know if you have any more comments!
