Hi there,
I'm wondering if it's possible to write a tempo track with a midi learned fader on my keyboard.
I suspect, if it's possible, this would be very similar to the way we write volume automation on an audio track or bus.

I think it's important to say that this has nothing to do with Fit to Improv. or fixing a bad midi performace, or creating a tempo track from an audio track.
The midi is already all on the grid.

Also, you should know, I do know how to write a tempo track in the tempo view with the pencil, stopping and starting etc.
I'd just like to be able to do it while in playback with a midi learned fader.

Thanks!
Steve

No, SONAR/CbB provides no method of entering tempos during playback/recording, by MIDI control or otherwise.

Just to follow up on your comment about Fit Improv, probably the easiest way to add tempo changes to the project with some semblance of a real-time performance would be to record a MIDI guide track of quarter notes as you mentally play back the song in your head with the existing track(s) muted. Then use Fit Improv to realign the project timeline to the guide track with tempo changes. The existing MIDI tracks will follow the timeline, taking on the new tempos.
