I guess the cronus.dll plugin is part of V-Vocal, so perhaps you might look at what you might have going on with that in your project.

Here is a link to a prior thread posted about some sort of workaround to crashes with cronus.dll:

http://forum.cakewalk.com/FindPost/1686823

Further, I used the following search terms in Google, to see what other similar links for that module might be out there in the Sonar forums:

site:forum.cakewalk.com sonar cronus.dll crash

The Google Search for the above terms returned 129 results, so maybe you can execute that same search and take a spin through the results to see if anything in those posts might be of assistance to you.

Hi Chuck - the poster is running Windows 7 - and a very likely explanation of the Access Violation is that the C++ Run -Time libraries are not up to proper maintenance levels.

Strictly speaking, however, any application that references invalid memory can produce an Access Violation processing exception.  (it doesn't always mean that the C++ run-time libraries need updating, though in Windows 7, that is a likely culprit - I certainly concur that performing maintenance updates to get their Windows 7 as maintenance current as possible is certainly warranted, and may well fix the issues).

Thanks, cronus.dll was in the excluded list in plug-in manager.  Enabling it appears to have resolved the issue.

I'm still have ongoing crashes due to Cronus.dll.

Are there other versions of this dll file available to test, and if so, where would I find them?

Thanks.
