The new 2017-03 update features notes new Windows API MIDI standard and to change the MIDI driver mode to UWP (from MME in my case).  However doing that removes my X-Touch and Frontier Tranzport control surfaces.  Changing back to MME restores my control surfaces.
 
Is there something else I need to do, with the UWP?
 

it removes also my m-audio project mix, too...

UWP also does not working with the external gear I tried so far (Eventide, MOTU) which expose MIDI ports to the system ...
