I do have audio now, using the ASIO driver, I have a session saved just for the MC6. I will see if the synths work shortly. It is a bit of a hassle to set up the EMU, but not to bad yet. So, do I have to do this with everything I do? That will not cut it. What other suggestions for a card would you all have? I'm glad there is an EMU wizard here, RobertB, you da man!! Thank you all for your help, be back soon, count on it.

Focusrite is the brand of interface I use. Set it up one time in the software control panel for it.... inputs, outputs levels, DSP effects and never need to touch it again.

M-Audio and Presonus as well as the Roland/Cakewalk interfaces are all good and used by many here.

These are not the only ones, so if you look at something else be sure it uses ASIO drivers and please take the time to ask here before you buy. The store simply wants to make a sale, we, on the other hand don't care what you buy, but we can guide you away from the interfaces that are problematic in one way or another.

Now, I'm trying to record a bass part, MC6 is not giving me an option or choice of a recording device in the Audio device screen. My playback is set with the EMU setup I made, the Driver setting is ASIO. I have signal from my bass into the EMU, but nothing into MC6 or in the Patchmix. How do I set the recording device setting? Do I need another session set up in PatchMix or can I add an input strip to PatchMix?
Tired and confused.

Press the P button to bring up Preferences and see what is listed for the Recording Device. If it's not the E-Mu, see if that can be selected.
It should be, since when using ASIO you can only use one device at a time.
Anyway, let us know what options are there.

57 Gregy, There is NO option to pick, it shows the ASIO driver, playback device is the EMU and the Recording device is blank and has no option.

Can you post a screenshot of your Patchmix?
if possible, a screen shot of your Audio Devices in MC6 would also be good.
Are you using the same input(s) you used for your guitar tracks?
MC6 will only allow two audio inputs(one stereo pair). Because of the way ASIO handles the audio signal, MC6 may not recognize the A and B inputs at the same time.

I will try and get a shot of  them. I did get the synths to take and now have them bounced to audio tracks, I have just the bass part to do for this tune I'm working on, I have signal to the EMU dock Input A, nothing from there to MC6 because I have no Recording Device available. See what I can do.

Ok, I need some opinions, Would I be better off with something like a Roland Quad-Capture Interface? What I am interested in doing is taking the MIDI's I use out live gigging, and turning them into CD's. I'm not a songwriter, I don't want to, or have the ability to, lay down multiple guitar tracks and what not. I just want to make the MIDI stuff I play sound good and lay down the vocals and the bass, with what guitar I can do. I need "keep it simple stupid" stuff. I had this working real good the way I had it, and now it's getting complicated. Help me boys!! I don't mean to be negative, I don't have the experience that you guy's do, and I'll be dead before I get even close. I have spent a lot of time picking my equipment and I think I have done pretty good. If I'm over my head with this EMU stuff then I need to go another direction. Tell me what you think.
