Are you sure that's all you need to do and the accounts will automatically be linked? I'd like to hear from BandLab.

The accounts are not linked yet. Follow scooks directions and when Bandlab proceeds with the new forum and actually doing the merge you’ll be notified. If you choose not to you’ll no longer have access to your Cakkewalk account and the products contained there in.
It’s been the subject of numerous threads and even emails.

Because to date, it's been Bandlab's primary communication method. Apart from issues they are secretive about, I think they have been using the forum quite well for general issues.
