seriously, tho, I'd like to see something come out of this.  the last we heard from cake on this subject was 11 months ago... 

I would love an update on the this topic as well. I was looking at the existing presets which come with sonar and discovered they are dated from years ago.

I agree. Would love a preset section in the forum somewhere.

Me also. Presets are really helpful to me. 

PC presets are one of the greatest features because they are the only true way to change a predefined track.
Using a template means you have to start from scratch, using a PC preset allows you to take existing tracks and turn them in to something different.
 
Im still waiting for my feature request to be filled:
Allow us to use Track templates on existing tracks.
