Ok, so then why should I use VST3 versions?

And Sonar isn't hiding any plugins in my list. I get duplicates if there are multiple VST versions installed.

There is an option in SONAR's preferences to hide duplicates.

They are not "duplicates" if the plug-in manufacturer fails to add the VST2 to VST3 migration data to their plug-ins. If you care to read the details see http://blog.cakewalk.com/...r-x3-vst-enhancements/. The article also discusses some of the advantages of VST3 plug-ins.

All VST3 versions of plugins of Plugin Alliance which I tested or own have bug which prevent to using presets in Sonar Plat. I reported this bug to them they answering they were going to work on it but quite a long no progress....

Especially considering it is probably easy to fix - it is just about displaying lists of presets in menu :-/

So if you have PA plugins I would recommend you using VST2 versions which are showing presets sometimes in strange form but they are there...

My personal favorite was my own comment
"Vst 3 is better than VST 2 because it's one number higher". that's got to mean something
