According to my MIDI controller (Roland A500Pro) manual, pitchbend (PB) data is determined by the sound module. Since I'm using software synths in SPLAT, how do I set this? The PB defaults to 2. I want it set to 6 or 12, where I can simulate a fretless bass slide down the neck.

I have scrutinized every button and menu item to no avail. The PB data shows up in the Event List--not much help. FYI, I'm using Native Instrument's Rickenbaker Bass.

It is set in the synth not in the host. Can't help with NI synths though.

Depends entirely the synth that you are using.  For instance RPN 0 controls the pitch bend range on Yamaha XG and Roland GS devices.

I had a quick look at the user guide for the Native Instrument's Rickenbaker Bass and I can find no reference to pitch bend range

- Hit the little wrench at the top left, next to where it says "Scarbee Rickenbacker Bass".
- Click "group editor" and make sure "edit all groups" is enabled.
- In the middle on the left, there will be a bold "source", under it are "preset" and "mod". Click "mod".
- The first line of modulation sources is pitchbend. The range is defined by a slider. Feel free to set it wherever you like.

FWIW the Rickenbacker Bass has actual slides, accessible via keyswitches. They'll sound a lot more realistic, though not "fretless" I guess, but neither does the Rickenbacker.
