Question,
 
How come every time I perform a Sonar update from a release, my theme changes back to Tungsten from

Mercury? Why does it have to change?
 

It is said that this update finally does not reset the theme.

You gave me a link with the majority of folks complaining that their theme changed as well.  I thought there would be documentation positive toward Sonar.   NOT
 
I wonder if Cakewalk ever announced that change or if that was something just stated by the OP.

I used to face the same earlier. So now I follow this route.
 
Also to mention that this helps me as I don't have good internet connection at the place where my DAW-PC is.
So I download the updates at my work and bring them home in a pen drive and carry on the update.

Is it just me or is the local Sonar help file missing pictures?  I have updated to 2017.02 and Sonar.chm seems to be missing the larger pictures (i.e. the small pictures of buttons are there, but the larger examples, like Figure 34, are missing).

 

There used to be a place in the file to leave notes, lyrics, etc. It's moved. Where?

there is a notes tab in the browser now, there were and maybe still are a couple of other places you can leave notes but i can't recall
 
[edit] one is in the inspector under the 'track' tab, you can put notes there, but i think the new notes tab in the browser is a better idea, for me anyway. there is still maybe a couple of other places

This might be a bit off topic. But since I didn't take advantage of the Life Time Update program, my only option to get updates is by purchasing he full version of Platinum (499) again?!
