Anyone know how to make pitch wheel controllers to show up? I just played with it and although the pitch wheel was recorded and plays back there is no sign of it in the new controllers pane. By the way, I really like the improvements so far.

Remember that for Type, you need to select Wheel, not Control. Shows up here.
 
I love being able to switch among controllers in a single strip! That's huge.

I just saw it work in a new project. It just shows up. It was an older project that it didn't show up in. Could be why.

I also think it's great you can show multiple controllers, I hadn't discovered that at first but often, I need to see the interaction of a couple controllers.

Another vote for short videos.
 
I usually update as soon as I can, but keep on working as always. Once in a while something changes that's hard to miss ("Where's the Synth Rack?").
 
What's New is fine, but using the software is heavily visual, and a visual summary of changes would be helpful. 

 
come on, guys. there are zillion videos out there with virtually zero content to take away from because they get outdated so quickly. and why bother watching a 4 min video if you can get all the information from a 2 line text and a single picture that goes with it.

Personal preference is kinda weird isn't it? I couldn't tell you how little I care about instructional videos. Complex software is written for those that can read:)

Wow this feature just keeps getting better as I use it. When going in an out of the PRV, whatever is selected follows you. So if I selected a piano in the PRV and had previously selected a different instrument in the track view, when I exit the PRV the piano is now the selected track. It goes the other way too. A real time saver for me.

With these monthly updates the new features are changing other aspects of what we're used to doing.  CW put out a 2 minute video 2 days ago about the comping improvements from the last update and it taught me something that I hadn't seen spelled out anywhere.
 
I do prefer text, but even the e-zines didn't spell out every aspect of the changes, so I think either short vids or page numbers of the user or reference guide would be helpful and not that time consuming for CW.
 
I'm not used to digging around monthly for info or wasted time for tedious experimenting when changes can be easily shown.  Remember the freakouts about lenses?  So unnecessary.

Changes to the PRV doesn't happen very often in Cakeland, so when it does I'm interested. So much, in fact, that for the first time ever I have installed the early release build - and I do like what I see.

I'm generally not a fan of video tutorials, as they frustrate my impatient nature. I can read text much faster than I can have it read to me.
 
That said, there have been a few times when a video made something clear because a key piece of information had been left out of the written documentation. Sometimes, I've had to pause and zoom in on a video to see a menu selection or button location, so I especially appreciate high-definition screen captures for the extra detail they provide. Sometimes, the video will incidentally explain something that wasn't even the point of the video.
 
So even though I may not ever watch them, I have to add a +1 to the idea of video tutorials - just in case.
 
Here's an example of a video that was meant to be a general promo for SONAR but just in passing showed me a cool feature I didn't know was there: dragging an audio clip into the timeline to sync the tempo map to it. (at 5:00)
