I'm generally not a fan of video tutorials, as they frustrate my impatient nature. I can read text much faster than I can have it read to me.
That said, there have been a few times when a video made something clear because a key piece of information had been left out of the written documentation. Sometimes, I've had to pause and zoom in on a video to see a menu selection or button location, so I especially appreciate high-definition screen captures for the extra detail they provide. Sometimes, the video will incidentally explain something that wasn't even the point of the video.
So even though I may not ever watch them, I have to add a +1 to the idea of video tutorials - just in case.
Here's an example of a video that was meant to be a general promo for SONAR but just in passing showed me a cool feature I didn't know was there: dragging an audio clip into the timeline to sync the tempo map to it. (at 5:00)
