the one problem you may have which others have had recently, is if you encounter a problem in say an early release, which wasn't in a previous release, a roll back may not necessarily 'fix' it or return you to your previous working state, but the issue may remain even though you roll back. so the roll back procedure probably works fine, has for me the one time i tried it, but the expected result of the roll back, ie going back to a previously working feature broken in a newer release may not.

In my experience rollback 'mostly' works. On the two occasions that it didn't (problems persisted), thankfully I had taken a disc image of the system drive prior to updating, a small investment in time that returns foolproof backup just in case.

I'd say yes. Only had to do it once though.
