This is not correct. I own both, SONAR and Pro Tools. This is form Avids FAQ:
Q) Will Pro Tools stop working at the end of my Upgrade Plan term?
A) No, a perpetual license does not expire so you can continue to use Pro Tools regardless of your plan status. If you don't renew your Upgrade Plan before it expires, you can continue using the versions of software released during your Plan's term.

There is no mention in the OP about purchasing a PT perpetual license, the subscription does not come with a perpetual license.

Count on it ive all ready been over there and stirred the pot! I dont think they like me lol Also my good mate has contacted PT about his subscription so we should here back from them in 2100

You naughty boy. Isn't starting that thread at KVR a form of trolling in itself?

If you want to start a thread praising Sonar, that's good. If you want to start a thread praising Sonar just to get a reaction from the Sonar dissenters, that's not so good.

http://www.avid.de/pro-tools/how-to-buy
2 first columns are: "Subscribe" and "Buy".
CW has "buy with month payment" and "buy with one payment". The first one, "buy with month payment", revert to "subscribe" ONLY in case you stop monthly payments within first 12 month. If you continue with monthly payments after 12 month, you have already bought the license and but continue to pay for monthly upgrades. Also after 12 month you can choose "one year of upgrades" one time payment, it is cheaper.

Since after 12 month you own Sonar license, per month price is obviously greater or equal "buy price" divided by 12.

Since after 12 month of ProTools subscription you own nothing, they can put prices they want (lower).

That's a bit sad. Have you considered doing something more constructive with you time? Like, growing up?

No kidding. Cakewalk has a bad enough reputation on KVR without this sort of immature crap.
