Hi All,

Couple of questions - SONAR Pro/WIN7 64 bit/UAD APOLLO TWIN USB3.0.

#1: Anyone else using a UAD APOLLO interface with SONAR?  UAD manual recommends that you select the "Extra Buffering" option in the UAD Control Panel/UAD-2 DSP section.  Do you really have to do this?  It adds latency.

#2: I still have my old Mackie ONYX-820i Firewire 400 interface.  If I plug it in along with the the UAD Apollo, when I open Sonar I see both interface's IPs and OPs listed.

But they don't work together.  Just want to confirm - this is a WINDOWS limitation - not a Sonar limitation.  (Any chance you can you use multiple interfaces w/ SONAR in WIN10?).

Thanks,
Danny V.

It is neither. It is a limitation imposed by the ASIO specification. The host (in this case SONAR) may only use one I/O driver at a time. Some manufacturers supply drivers which allow aggregating their hardware even different models but not different manufacturers products.
