Trying to edit a MIDI clip that I had turned into a groove clip. Can't do it as is, and also tried clicking on Groove Clip to undo it, but that doesn't work. The beveled edges remain.

How can I edit such a clip?

Thanks.

to change it back to a regular clip right click on the clip and choose "Bounce to clips".
Slip editing is done by splitting the clip (place the now time on where you want the split and press "S").
Then you can grab the edge of the clip and drag it.

doesn't seem to work.  clicking bounce to clips does not undo the groove clip.  also cannot split it (option not given).

Then you may have accidentally locked the clip somehow. Check in the Inspector.

I could have sworn you asked about slip editing in your first post(maybe edited). disregard that comment.

I'm not at my DAW, but I'm pretty sure that if you highlight the Groove Clip and hit Ctrl-L, it changes it back to a normal, non-looped MIDI clip.
That might help.

I have no idea man. Generally you can right click on any groove clip and choose Bounce to clips and it will turn that clip back in to an ordinary midi clip. Possibly the clip got corrupt somehow. it does happen.
Re clicking on it though and choosing groove clip looping wont undo it, you have to use bounce to clips.

Hope this helps
