  • Accidentally deleted some of my AudioFX presets and can't get them back...

(I would've liked to simplify the title, but I didn't know how...)

First time here.  I'm here largely because I was an idiot while using Music Creator 6 Touch and accidentally deleted some of the AudioFX presets since I thought the X button was going to just get me back to the default settings.  Oops.  I seem to want them back now, but I've got no idea how to get them back.  I have done several uninstalls and reinstalls on Steam, deleted various folders to see if they'd reinstall with the previous settings, even barged into the AppData folder and deleted the entries in that...no luck.  Aside from trying to remake them manually, is there any way I can get some of my presets to come back?  It's a minor thing, yes, but it's a little frustrating not having the program install the same way it did the first time.

Hope this made sense.  Thanks in advance.

I would assume that a deleted pre-set is gone forever. Try restoring the pc back before you deleted them? If it was a plug in pre-set, try rescanning the vst in edit preferences vst settings, or reset all vst plug ins.

The presets I had were part of the Alias Factor and Compressor Gate...since I know very little to nothing about VST plugins, I'm not sure if those are VST plugins are not.  Either way, I tried the options in preferences and they're still not there.  Maybe I have to do something more advanced (and, potentially, more dangerous) to get those presets back.  Or I just deal with it.  Who knows.

The presets for those two effects are in the registry, if you want I can post the exports from my registry. They will be for SONAR X2 Producer. You will have to adjust the paths for MC6 to import or manually re-enter the values.

Did you delete the fx or just the preset?
If you delete an fx you will need to reinstall it. If it's the preset..... no big deal. A preset is not a destination..... just an aid to get you started.  Simply redo it and save it.

Restore would work but we are only talking about a few lines in the registry. I would just do a cut/paste to get the presets back myself. But, it is up to the individual with problem to decide what to do.
