hey guys I finally got a new computer and hopefully will be able to work on some new music. my quest in I installed MC4 onto this computer. It has windows 8. when I try to switch the driver to ASIO it  have anything where you change the playback timing master it just says none and doesn't allow me to change it. it also says there are no audio devices for the current  driver model on your system. please go to options/audio and choose a different driver model. Is there a way to make the ASIO driver work? thanks. I think I had this problem at the beginning with my old computer also.

I'm not sure MC4 will work properly on the Windows 8 OS. There's always some issues when new OS's are released.

And ....eventually, the older programs simply cease to work on the newer OS's. That would be the #1 reason I'm not using Cakewalk Pro 8 deluxe anymore.

Try going to your interface's web site and see if they have drivers for W8.
And check for updates/patches for MC 4 at Cakewalk. They won't have anything for MC 4 and W8, but whatever updates they do have might help.

If it works on WDM, I would try to get the W-8 most recent ASIO driver....

but at least it does work.
