You think they ditch the Cakewalk name and brand?

I've seen this popping up several times on Face Book as well. Seems like something is up.

I'm guessing that "popping up on Facebook" means that people are posting the same link. I wouldn't read too much into it - my guess is that it's either human error, a computer glitch, or some kind of automated date from their stocking system. Perhaps when something is officially flagged as "out of stock," it carries a default "back in stock by..." time frame in their system, which generates a date which is automatically added to that product's page. Of course I may be talking out of my arse since I have no idea how their system works. I did email their customer support to ask so we'll see what they say (knowing GC, probably some crappy canned response which sheds no light on anything).

It's just sloppy care and feeding of a software based inventory management system. It doesn't mean anything.

Ya, agreed.  It really doesn't matter to me, I'm working in S1 and learning a new DAW.  I thought the chatter was interesting.

there could just be a bunch of physical product left, and gc get to sell them?

The downside for buying this is all the updates that were done won't be included.....almost a years worth?

But I’m quite sure it doesn’t mean anything more than that. If there were to be a happy ending to the Sonar Saga, I’m sure we wouldn’t be hearing about it through Guitar Center.

I agree with your whole post really but I have no problem thinking Gibson could do something stupid or unpredictable or downright goofy.
