Ok so I use a M audio 8 track and i cant pan my tacks or record left or right. It took me a while to figure out what was wrong but i figured out the problem just not the solution. Ok so the problem is for my entire computer the playback wont pan. When i go to playback settings on my pc (not in sonar) i click on my interface as my default playback device and I then click test (or configure I have tried both) and when its suppose to play out of the right side it plays out of both and the same for the left. If anyone knows the solution to this that would be a big help.

These always tend to be some routing problem. hard wire or even internally.
Have you tried disabling your onboard audio ? this may be interfering with the way the soundcard is using the spectrum (the stereo spectrum).

My first suspect is some kind of a cable or plug mishap. How are your loudspeakers connected?  What driver mode are you using for Sonar/M-Audio? Are the drivers updated?
Did the issue start recently or has it bothered you for long? Was something in your system changed when it started?
