RIP, Chuck.

I wonder if anyone posts/posted when his pianist died?

John
One of my favorite musicians. I grew up listening to him. He's been covered by some great bands not least of which are the Beach Boys also the Beatles.

It is widely held by many that J.J. wrote most of the songs. Even Chuck's trademark licks are basically piano licks translated to guitar.

I am not trying to play down Chuck's massive influence over many of us, just pointing out that it is sad that he became a household name and J.J. didn't.

RIP Chuck, he shaped history, definitely that riff inspired me (and many) to play guitar, and main inspiration to my tribute to him and other 1950's.
