I was reading this as the update was downloading.  I cancelled the update...until some people show up here who have not had any issues.

Although those without issues come here much less frequently. I must say I have no problems with it although I haven't done much since the upgrade.

I'm used to Sonar Pro crashing often, but since upgrading to 2017.2 my computer freezes completely in the middle of editing. No logs in the event viewer. Really annoying.

Are you using ASIO4ALL for your drivers? If so, I'm not surprised that SONAR would crash often. Most "SONAR crashes all the time" issues trace back to out-of-date drivers or ASIO4ALL.

OK...cool, I'm seeing some "solid" responses.  I'll wait until Monday assuming some folks will have time to kick the tires a bit more over the weekend.

Only issue noted here is the drum map gets de-selected the first time a project is opened in this release. The drum map is still available, but a new entry [drum map++] is added and enabled. Not a new drum map, just a number.

Easy enough to re-select once it gets sussed out and seems to stick once re-selected. but has happened in every single project so far (~15).

So far I have had no issues with stability. However, Platinum is so extensive that it will take some time and projects to fully confirm.

I upgraded from Producer X1 / Windows Vista to a new computer around a year and a half ago. I got a new installation of Windows 10 and Platinum and this has been a huge improvement for me. My experience is that Cakewalk have accomplished a super job on this. Hopefully they will continue to improve it too.
