Hello, every one. i lost the Lexicon Alpha in the flood caused by Huracaine Sandy. (I lost the microphone and the digital recorder too.) I just bought a new HP laptop with Widows 7. i was planning to buy another Lexicon Alpha, but i'm not sure if it works with Windows 7. i'm planning also to buy Music Creator 6 for the new laptop. i liked the one i had and i know how to use it. also, the budget is tight. Does anyone know if the Lexicon Alpha is what i should buy? sirena del mar

Focusrite, M-Audio, Presonus, I know those are the good ones....

If you are starting again with new gear, I'd use one of those.

Sorry to hear Sandy slammed you too. Maybe insurance will help pay it down a bit....

Sorry to hear that.
Here is the link to the Lexicon page announcing that they have released drivers for all their interfaces for Win 7 32- and 64-bit operating systems, with a link to the download:

I see that both www.musiciansfriend.com and
www.sweetwater.com have the Alpha for $60 now.
So if you liked it and want to continue using it, you can.
You'll find Music Creator 6 to be quite different from MC 3 and will require relearning a few things. It will still do the recording thing well for you, though.
Good luck!

I'm using Windows 7 (64-bit) with a Lexicon Alpha. It works fine.
