How can i stop the vocals I'm recording from playing in headphones as I'm recording? If just like the beat and other previous recorded tracks?? Am I missing somehin?? Turn off input echo on the vocal track. If input echo is off and you still hear youself, it is coming from your audio interface.

In the track where you are recording the vocals, disable the feed to the master.

so if its coming from my auto interface, i need to get one to take place of plugging everything into the labtop?? and do u reccommend one?

Based on the other response I am guessing you want to suppress the vocal that you are currently recording. If you are talking about a previously recorded track, then the mute button on that track will take care of the problem.

There are audio interfaces for any budget that will give you better results than using the sound chip in you laptop. The internal sound chip is designed primarily for playback and not music production.
