Thx Chuck for letting him see with the pic, (since I don't know how to, or have posted enough to do that yet) so he could see what took me 53 mins to try & explain

The interleave icon could change depending on the theme but the position of the button will be the same regardless of the theme.

Interleave is the classic issue.

Thanks. I do have the narrow console strips, so I couldn't see that. I haven't worked much with audio, mostly MIDI.

Still, the interleave was set to stereo. This is what I have in the track lanes. See attachment... DAMMIT! How do I attach an image on my computer??

Upload it to a site such as imgur, get the relevant link code and paste it into the Insert / edit Image box

Edited: Not easy trying to help someone when they don't answer your questions. I understand its not always possible to answer every post. but I asked you the same question 2 times. Kind of feel like im wasting my time here.

This has nothing to do with the interleave setting, which would not affect whether or not the envelope was being applied. If the pan slider isn't moving, then the pan envelope isn't being applied.

This may sound like a dumb question, but are you sure the envelope is actually assigned to the pan function?

Another question we've neglected to ask: is the pan envelope on a MIDI track or an audio track? It's possible, for example, to direct an automation envelope to the synthesizer's pan control rather than SONAR's pan control.

hey, at least you figured out what Bristol_Jonesey's advice means & how to put a pic out there, lol
I'll get it later (hopefully)

and by looking at your track 38, I see the output is 'Guitar'  so is that buss or aux track or whatever it's going to >  "Interleave = Stereo" ?
